JC I wrote the article and it is posted on Jim Cobb's Trimix site at http://www.cisatlantic.com/trimix/fins/sprstrps.htm Since writing the article, someone on the list suggested the need for a nylon line inside the spring to prevent overextension of the spring and to serve as a safety in case the spring breaks. If you have any question on the construction of them feel free to email me. Note: Somone else posted an address of someone who was making these for sale at about $30 or so.
