Will, could you tell us again , "who has the end of the line?" ( to quote Bill Main). In order to understand why we do what we do, one has to have been there , done that. The Great White Hope of the pocket protector set was given its chance at Wakulla, and the result would appear to indicate that open circuit and in water deco are superior to a cis luaoner with bell and chamber. I know, I know: he had no divers and could not figure out how to make the copied scooters work, and he only had three times as many dives as we have ever had in perfect conditions, the divers had to monitor the RB so it took them two or three times as long to do any dive as it does us, and I did not give him the rest of the map ( the other 25,000 feet of cvae he missed) or hold his clammy, shaking little thieving hands, but the bottom line is that until somebody can do it better than us, the "comedy" is in the speculation about what none of you knows first hand, otherwise commonly referred to in the trade as "jack shit". Electronic rebreathers I am sure are great fun, just like the computer on my Corvette: I love playing with it while driving along, but when I need to put the hammer down, I turn it off, in line with what Werner is telling you. All of you are missing the best information in diving because you just don't want to face the facts. Not from me, since I don't care to share any of it, but from my guys who actively do so. I do not see most of them on the RB list, like Jablonski, Scarabin or Rose. Since Rose has a PHD in applied mathematics and teaches computer math at South Carolina, and is a world class cave diver and rb diver, maybe you can tell him how stupid he is. This team ( the WKPP ) performs anyplace, any time better than anyone ever has. Witness our last one-day job in Merida, and everyplace else we have been. This is called knowing what we are doing. The Rebreather list is a classic case of the blind leading the blind. It is just a good thing that none of you spend much time diving, or it would read like a Kosovo obituary column. When are you coming down here anyway? I can see we are going to have to put you into sensory deprivation and reprogram you again like the KGB used to do to its bad apples. Don't drink the coolaide.
