I was pointed to this list by a friend, as a way of = avoiding all the inane static found on rec.scuba. I've been lurking for = a little while, and been impressed with the quality of discussion that = occurs here. I am not a caver, yet, having just taken a cavern course, = but am trying to find out as much about everything that I can (knowledge = is power, right?). I do have a question that is pretty basic for this group, so my = apologies beforehand, but searching the web has not yielded any answers. = I found the WKPP web site (pretty well-designed and informative, = really), and was fairly impressed, with the exploration this group is = conducting. I am getting a little confused as to their mission (it seems = that they are using Wakulla to train up for Leon Springs? Or do I have = this wrong?), but my real question is this mysterious 'usdct' (always in = lower case, though I guess it's an abreviation). =20 There seems to be quite the rivalry between the two organizations, but = besides this, I can't figure out much. Was usdct another group of divers = that was exploring the system previously, and caused some bad blood? All = I can really discover by reading between the lines, is that they = preferred rebreathers, and alot of other people call them "strokes" <g>. = Which sure as hell doesn't sound complimentary. And the WKPP, it seems this is an amateur, volunteer organization = (amateur not in the skill level sense, but in the sense of doing = something for love as opposed to money)? Thanks, Rich L ------=_NextPart_000_0025_01BE5886.6102FBC0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 = HTML//EN"> <STYLE></STYLE> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 5.00.0910.1309"' name=3DGENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Greetings, all.
