Jeff, I actually doubt that Zumrick would do that - they probably turned
the dive. What is bs is the 90 minute "bottom time" to go to F or L
Tunnel. For some reason these guys have a big thing about exagerating
the bottom time, and crowing about the warm dry deco.

Warm dry deco would do me no good. Electronic rb's do me no good . Using
a single scooter does me no good.

What they should be bragging about is that they get 90 days of diving
while we can't even park where they have mobile homes and tractor
trailers. They should be bragging that they have barges , chambers and
bells where we have to put dive flags and get asked to be done "before
the glass bottoms run". They should be bragging that the lifeguards
stopped my greet tream on an 18,000 foot dive becuase it was lightning
while they have the beach fenced off.

They should be bragging that the WKPP got hosed completly after years of
work - that is their real victory. They will be revered in diving by the
personal preference crowd for that victory alone.

Spending a million dollars to not even do what we can do in one day with
200 bucks on open circuit is not anything to brag about. They should not
be bragging that a 47 year old guy can do a real six hour bottom time (
nine by their measure ) and deco out in 8.5 in the water, and then drive
home and swim in an ocean race while they do twice that time in a
chamber from a weenie dive and then sit around sick for a day.

The only question being ansered here is how long it takes to eat a
bowling ball, what it takes to see what we did on open circuit in a
handfull of dives, and just how severely all of these devices reduce the
skill and stamina required for this activity.

Obviously they are proving that absolutely anyone can do this when you
take out all of the factors, and then are willing to deal wtih
electronic risk ( or do not understnad it well enough to be concerned
).
This answers the question of why we are the only ones who can push the
hard caves, and why the Donwtown sections of all of them are always
waiting for us.

I want to know how they are going to map the 50,000 feet of line we put
in when they only dive over 10% of it?????????? Repeatedly diving over
the same stretch of cave will not produce a map.
