It was brought to my attention by JJ that heinerth put some nonsense on Stones web page about "deco advantage with the cis", like he has any idea what he is talking about . The guy did one dive in 87 that I personally would be embarrassed to admit to, and did 14 hours deco. The dive he did takes 50 minutes - I have done it - he called it 87 minutes . The deco for that is less than 3 hours on open circuit. The reason I did the dive is that Steve Irivng called it on me right there, otherwise I would not have noticed how quick it is. For 80 minutes the deco is about 4-5 hours. See the WKPP video "Extreme Cave Siving" to see Irving and Brent adding line in the "360" pit. That dive with a full video crew took one shot and less than 50 minutes. We had the whole crew back there playing around on a single srage. Heinerth now claims it took him TWO HOURS to do a lesser dive this time, a lie, and even his own graph shows 60 minutes at depth, still either a lie or total incompetence ( what happened to the great scooters, the rebreathers, the "technology", the better way? - it looks like these guys have gone backwrds in the last ten years)), but not nearly so bumbling as the other two divers doing D Tunnel. Now go look at the deco and see how ridiculous it is. Not only is it completely wrong, it is about three times as long as it needs to be. So here is what we really have : a rebreather that fails most of the time and causes aborts ( notice that Zumrick still refuses to dive it in the cave), one that slows you down so severely from monitoring it that the dives take twice as long as they should, and one that you have to do more deco with than open circuit. Gee, this sounds great, especially for 17 grand, knowing it was designed by a guy who is so stupid that he can't successfully copy and build a pvc scooter in two years of trying with the poroverbial instructions on the heel, and knowing that he has made all of the mistakes of other rb pretenders, and addeded a few nmore and a bunch of major complications, and then thrown in a seven year old deco program to boot. Gee, where do we sign up for Wakulla 2? Maybe these guys could show me how it is done in another 42 days. I love Am Ende's comment about finding a non virgin tunnel that is not "mapped". Welcome to the jungle.
