DSF, Dansk Sportsdykker Forbund (Danish Sport Diving Federation) Mailing Address: Idraettens Hus Brondby Stadion 20 DK - 2605 Brondby Denmark Tel: +45 43 26 25 60 Fax: +45 43 26 25 61 DSF is member of CMAS (World Underwater Federation), and is an association of all Danish Diving Clubs, as well as those Danish Diving Schools who teach the Nordic Scuba Diver certificate - system (CMAS). DSF conducts a large scale of activities and has several obligations: Education and training of instructors and divemasters, statistics and safe-diving procedures for Nordic conditions, a variety of courses (archaeology, photos, wreck-diving etc etc.), equipment-tests and so on. Different committees under DSF is responsible for these tasks. Apart from its own CMAS - certificate (Nordic Scuba Diver), DSF has accepted the NASE - certificate as equivalent when issued in Denmark. Members of DSF can hold any certificate though, it's up to the diving clubs themselves to decide under which conditions, members are accepted (certificate-type, experience, age etc.). Certificates from other agencies are to a wide degree converted to equivalent CMAS - certificates by applying simple multiple-choice tests and in-water-exercises. Again, prices and conditions are decided by the clubs and schools themselves.
