General Information: Since 1954, the UEC has been promoting diving
and diving safety, and helping new members learn
more about the exciting world of underwater adventure.The
Uec is one of the oldest, continuously active
scuba clubs in Virginia, and is the oldest incorporated
club. Since then, members of the UEC have been
diving all over the world enjoying many diversified
diving activities. Club sponsored dives include
diving in the local rock quarries, Virginia rivers
and also the Chesapeake Bay and the oceans of
